WHAT IS CERAKOTE?
Cerakote is a Polymer-Ceramic Composite coating that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. The unique formulation used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness. Each of these properties is rigorously tested to guarantee that Cerakote products remain at the forefront of the ceramic coatings market. Cerakote ceramic coatings utilize state-of-the-art technology to out-perform any competitive coating in both laboratory settings and real world applications.
At Calamity Arms we are geared toward both custom cerakote projects as well as large quantities for manufacturers. We can design your custom pattern on site!
ARE THERE DIFFERNT TYPES OF CERAKOTE?
Yes, there are differnt types of CERAKOTE. The two methods we prefer are...
C-Series which is an air dry application for high heat applications such as auto parts or suppressors, machine gun barrels; and
H- Series which is a baked on application.
Here at Calamity Arms, we primarily use the H-Series (We prefer this application because of its duribility). After being applied and baked the H-Series Cerakote Finish makes for one of the toughest firearm coatings on the market!
CAN ANYONE APPLY CERAKOTE?
Although anyone can purchase and attempt to apply Cerakote themselves, doesn't mean they should. We are a Certified Cerakote Applicator which means we have been factory training by Cerakote themselves.
Think of it like painting a car, just because you can buy the paint doesn't mean you can actually paint the car with a factory finish.
Before any part leaves out shop, we maticuliously check each component to insure proper coating. If it is not done in accordance to our high standards or does not meet your satisfaction, we will completely start over from the beginning of the process.
